TIME...PRECIOUS TIME

Can you find just a little time in your busy, busy life?
Some time to rest for a long moment and just breathe
A little time to stop and think about life; all its treasures
Time to think on this temporary life you will ond day leave
Your time is of the essence; rushing moment to moment
No time to stop and consider; no time left to just ponder
Everything is so, so important; a top flight first priority
No time for dreaming; no time left to just sit and wonder
What did you worry over at this time just last year?
There must have been more than a million choices
But you can’t remember any of it now; it’s no wonder
All you hear is the current chorus of worried voices
Life is a tiny, tiny thing; a very small space of limited time
We fill it with things we think are such high priorities
We push all the other things out of our way; too far aside
Then stay busy ignoring realities, grabbing at possibilities
What of love? What of our short time here on this earth
Does that not matter in the scheme of the picture of it all?
What really matters in the end? Is it what we have done?
Or is it what we have been when the Lord comes to call?
Health and happiness are what matters in life here on earth
The smiles; the love; the moments we so cherish together
Everything else is simply a distraction; a timely illusion
The ones we love; the time we spend are what really matter
Take a deep breath; stop and consider the priorities in this life
Look at those around you and consider the priorities of their day
Take some time to rest; to weigh the options; to shift your focus
Stop and consider what is really important along your busy way
We all have just a little while upon this earth; a short time
Do what you will but make good use of what you’re given
Know that one day your life will be judged on its merits
When time is done and you reach your final home in Heaven

Wayne you have written here what most of our lives have been surrounded by. "LOST and WASTED TIME" I am so in tune with what you've scribed here my friend. I know my days are numbered and I wish I could take back the time that I've strewn to the gutter.
We all want to take back things we've said and done to others. Lost time, lost loves, lost marriages, lost families. Shall I be granted more time or to come back to catch up on the time I squandered, then I am truly blessed in Heaven or Hell. BTW perfect video indeed to place in with this marvelous scribe. VOTED BEYOND UP, and shared on Twitter and FB my poetic genius.
Time is precious and does not wait for anyone!
We have to learn to prioritize our things in life so that we can get benefit out of it.
Beautiful poem and shared and votedup
You always make good points, even in poems. This reminded me of a quote from "Gone With the Wind" that goes something like "don't squander time, it's what life is made of", located on a plaque on the Wilk’s plantation. I'm sure I butchered that quote but you get the gist. Hats off to you, Wayne, for reminding me of what's important. It's not the to do list of chores and tasks, it's people.
**Gives you a standing ovation!!** This is an excellent poem that says it all. What is really important are the 'people' in your life and not the 'things.' The people in my life are so important to me and I thank God for each one of them. I love how you penned the words...they just flow together. You have my votes!! Have a great day and God bless! :-)
Very kewel WB.

Time is very short indeed. It is in those moments when life could be snuffed out, but God had other plans, that one realizes how short it is. It just takes a bit of time to look around and appreciate the things often taken for granted, that life has to offer. Great poem!
Beautiful poem and life is so short. Voted up and awesome
Wayne - Excellent. Now that I'm older I have realized that time is the most precious thing I can give to anyone. After all, it is finite, at least in this life.
Great work. It was nice talking with you the other day BTW.

Time - the one commodity we cannot purchase and never have enough of. Thank you, Wayne, for this beautiful poetic reminder. Well done!
Here are some very wise words we ALL need to reflect on, often!

Beautiful, moving and wise.... Up, up up!
Hi Wayne, time is so precious - thank you for this reminder.
A beautiful poem and voted up
Wayne - absolutely beautiful. As I reflect on the time I've spent on useless doing, worrying and sub-standard careing it makes me sad. However, as long as we're still breatheing we can change direction and sort out the important and non-important in our lives and go forward as you've so aptly stated in this exquisite poem. Excellent and insightful poetry - voted UP. Best, Sis
I really enjoyed your poem and the video as your words are so true. So often meaningless activities take up our time and we forget to stop and smell the roses. Rated awesome.
Time is precious we must all cherish it, great poem.
This is so true. Time is the only thing that means the most to us and also one that we use carelessly as well. Great hub!
